“Homestuck has made me realise that there are so many beautiful styles in this world”
Art (c) Xamag-homestuck.tumblr.com, Lexxercise.tumblr.com, Leesers.tumblr.com and Nichanichun.tumblr.com.
This might sound a bit stupid, because everybody knows there are a lot of nice styles of making art. But before I was in the Homestuck fandom, I didn’t think about art styles, not at all. I didn’t think of playing around with different colors, lineart, emotions, anatomy or backgrounds. It was always the same anime style with the same kinda boring coloring (I have nothing against anime, just so you know). I noticed that I really didn’t make any progress, everything looked so much alike. But since I got interisted in Homestuck and it’s fandom, I have seen the most beautiful of styles. From simplistic and cartoony to realistic and deep, they were all unique and beautiful in there own way. These styles have kicked me into experimenting. And now, For the first time in a long while, I see improvement and I actually starting to enjoy drawing a bit more, since I know it will always be a fun experiment, and that I will learn and improve with every drawing I make.

Homestuck copyright Andrew Hussie.
I’ve just been reading the comic since the start… after Problem Sleuth. Sad thing is, i’ll probably go back and check how Homestuck ends, when I hear it’s over. You don’t read something for so long, and be convinced to quit it very easily. I denied how Andrew Hussie was enabling pedophiles in my head for a while… but it got undenyable.
Well! You get back to calling me upset and butthurt and telling me not to let the door hit me on the way out! Don’t worry, i’m looking out for it!
