I used to think my art was crap. I didn’t think someone would take MINE. I mean, its crap! Nothing great like a lot of artists I see on dA, who draw fantasy, realism, etc.,
But then, someone stole my art - not only stole it - but SOLD IT.
On products. Yeah. So here is a reminder.
After going through a bunch of legal trouble, I want to tell you this. No matter HOW bad you think your art is - watermark it. I mean, come on. SOMEONE out there will have different opinions, and SOMEONE will see something in your art that you DIDN’T see. Someone will see potential and sometimes, it can be… a bad thing.
THEY COULD SELL YOUR ART TOO.And it wont be fun. Legal issues, language barriers, copyright claim. A lot of us have been there.
Remember THIS when posting; it’s the internet, anyone could take your signature and replace it with their own. So while I say “make it tricky, make it complex,” don’t go overboard. I know someone who would spend ten minutes signing the damn thing.
Don’t do that! Just make sure you DO claim it as yours. because..if you don’t…someone else might.
Even if you draw just simple, sloppy doodles like I do for fun. Make it yours before they do.
