i wish all of you would stop being so hard on yourselves

In all seriousness please stop it! Who cares if so and so is a better artist than you. Who gives a damn if you draw anime and enjoy manga. WHO CARES. No one should. The only person you need to make happy is yourself. You should strive to better yourself and never feel the need to impress others. I feel as though communities like deviantArt and conceptart have ruined many artists perception on the act of creating something. Yes it is good to share your pieces to one another. Yes it is good to critique to help better yourselves. And yes it is good and fun to have a bajillion comments and faves and notes and all this internet bullshit. 

But when you stop drawing because no one pays attention to you. 

When you get discouraged because you hear the same thing over and over again from your watchers or friends. 

When you look at a persons art and say “awh man i’ll never be that good…let me just give up now.” 

You are all forgetting an important thing. 

You have the gift of creation. You are able to take something from nothing and turn it into an actual piece of work. You make characters and stories and beautiful things. No matter how shitty or lame you may think it is there are plenty of people out there who can barely draw stick figures. And there are plenty of people out there that DO appreciate your art.

My noobies, my amatuers, my pros and my friends. My artists! Stop your nonsense and just draw! As vulgar as it may sound Fuck Everyone and draw for yourselves. 

We are all a rare breed and we need to support each other when we are discouraged. We need to know that we are special and we must continue to live through our outlets.
